On the website of L’Arc En Ciel world tour, the location for the Singapore and Indonesia round of the Tour is decided along with a date.

“>28th April 2012 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and Lapanfan D Senayan OUTDOOR Field in Jakarta Indonesia on the 2nd of May 2012.

Ticketing information is to be announced.

It’s also a surprise for fan in Indonesia as there is previously no mention of such an item. With the addition of the 2 location, the tour now consist of 10 location with 3 in South East Asia, namely Bangkok, Jakarta and Singapore.

The location of the New York show has also been decided and it will be held at the Madison Square Garde, making them the first Japanese Band to Headline there.

Congratulations! Looks like this is going to be a very memorable 20th Anniversary~

And with that, we have come to the end of 2012 Request Hour!

With the exclusion of unit songs, we have come to see a lot of stage songs making returns with Team K’s songs from various stages occupying most of it while Team A & B took about half of the stage appearances. For the top, while many would have predict that the million breakers for 2100 will seal the no.1 spot but it is still claimed by last year’s no.1 Heavy Rotation. Personally, I would given my vote for that as well.

Another surprised packed day too, with NMB’s 2 singles appearing today along with SKE Team KII’s new stage song “Omatase Set List”. The usual top songs that have appeared in the final RH days were there though they have slightly dipped in rankings.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the first 2 days of RH 2012 screening were missed as GV canceled it, but so glad for me to make it at the final 2 days, great performances, even superb MC by the members as it contains the whackiest MC I have seen in concerts for a long while.

Right after the end of the ranking, a video clip was played, and it was very very surprised packed.

Have you ever wondered will the AKB48 members get to play instruments for a song LIVE? Well, apparently, Aki-P has thought of this and had the members practiced with various instruments for a upcoming single. The end product? “Give Me Five”. And we were treated to the sight of the girls getting to befriend their respective instruments at the start.

We have Takamina on the lead guitar, with the 2nd guitar by Acchan, Yuko on the bass, Yukirin on the drums. Yes, Yukirin ON the drums. Nyannyan and Mayuyu on the keyboard, Yuihan and Rena on the trumpets. Trombone, we have Miichan and Sashi, percussion by Mariko, Tomochin and Jurina. Of course not forgetting Akicha, Kitarie, Sae, Chiyuu and Sayanee on the chorus!

Clearly, this is a very very pleasant surprise for everyone in the TDC Hall, cinemas all over Japan, HK, Taiwan, Thailand and here in GV Vivo! And of they went, performing “Get Me Five” for the first time to fans band version! Well, don’t expect them to really do what other specialized bands can do, but they did a pretty good job out of it despite their short time given to practice among the hectic schedules they have normally.

For the very first concert of the year, pretty well done and now up next is their March concert in Saitama Super Arena from 23-25 March!

SKE48 upped the ante next with an amazing performance with this. A SKE song with Jurina as centre. What more can I ask for? Sry, Jurina Oshi here. (-_-)b

Many favorites also were in the performance today. Zannen Shoujo, Gyakuten Oujisama, Ookami to pride, MARIA, the list goes on. However, who can not forget this one: Temodemo no namida. A surprise matching of Yukirin and Matsui Rena. What more to say? You can be sure it was one of the best renditions of the song.

However, I am a sucker for originals. Still think this is the best version ever. LOL, but to each his own. Peace y’all.

Some songs that were placed quite high last year fell, like Takamina’s Itoshisa no accel, while some were unexpected entries like Kimi to boku no kankei and Enjou Rosen.

Overall, today’s performance was incredible. To those who missed it, getting the dvd won’t be a regret. However my only gripe was last year they got the graduated members to come back and perform the older stage songs, however this year did not have that. Oh well, I understand they might not be able to make it cause of their schedules. HKT48 also made an appearance as well, performing 10nen zakura.

Many previews of things to come as well. Soredemo suki da yo, Sashi’s solo debut as well as First rabbit, the theme song for the upcoming documentary movie. These 2 songs would be some good stuff to look forward to.

Finally, the top 25 coming next. Can’t wait to find out will the top list be similar to last year’s? Would NMB48 make it inside? They have not been inside the rankings so far. Stay tuned to Day 1 to find out.

Update: At the end of the concert, it’s announced that AKB48 will be performing in all 47 prefectures in Japan for an upcoming Nation wide tour.

The girls from JKT48 also appeared on stage with Takahashi Minami, Minegeshi Minami, and Kashiwagi Yuki, appealing for their sempais to join them in a performance on the 25th of February in Indonesia.

They might be referring to the Nihon Indonesia Pop culture festival.

Insert by Ken0601: A sign of things to come for the next 2 days? So far, we have not heard much from Team A, especially from their current A6 stage. It may be a good one as it may appear later or even tomorrow in higher rankings, or in the worse case scenario, totally unranked. The shockers of the day, not just other than TGSK unintentional leak, but it is the early appearance of strong unit/team songs and of course, Namida Surprise & RIVER taking up 50s spots. A big shock indeed for the single that brought the group top at Oricon charts for the first time. It may point out that given the out reach the group as done for the past year, newer fans may be more familiar with the current releases or a few back-dated till 2010 earliest. Thus, the earlier popular singles and stage songs will probably be pushed out away.

And my 4 votes for this RH, the 4 songs have yet to appear though. Not sure is it a good or bad sign, but let’s await the final 50 songs countdown later!

All in all, day 1 has quite a fair chunk of team K songs appeared, a total of 7 whereas its only 3 each for teams A & B. Of course, the usual popular unit songs haven yet to appear, the speculation now is where will they stand, is it right at the last day in top 25, or their popularity waned and appears right at 75 onwards?

The only way is to keep along as day 2 will begin this evening! And personally, I can’t wait for day 3 to arrive as I will be watching the LIVE screening in GV theater!

L’Arc en Ciel Coming to Singapore, soon!

L’ Arc en Ciel will be coming to Singapore soon, presumingly as part of their world tour. The news broke via an advertisement placed on the Singapore Press Holding’s, Strait Times, news paper.

Nogizaka46′s debut single is Guruguru Curtain

After the revelation of the Senbatsu members for the idol group’s début single, it’s announced today that their single will be titled Guruguru Curtain. The song is also the CM song for Meiji’s Milk Chocolate.

The single will be released on the 22nd of February but the advertisement will start to air on the 14th of January.

The girls from Nogizaka 46 will also be meeting their official rival on the same stage at the recording for Feb 6th edition of Music Japan.

Singapore AKB48 Theater first show dates announced!

Volume 11 of Singapore AKB48 Theater at *SCAPE have been announced for the 28th of January.

It will be a AKB48 Stage with 2 shows at 2 and 6PM.

It’s revealed today that Hirano Aya will be part of the cast for the late night drama, Muse no Kagami, join Sashihara Rino as a supporting character.

Her role in the drama is an ex-entertainer forced out of the industry after offending a “major” company. She is also mentor to Maki, played by Sashihara, after discovering her talent.

More details about the storyline has also been revealed, pointing to a “bad guy” character from the “Major Company” out to sabotage Maki’s entertainment career only to fall in love with her, complicating the matter further.

The 24 episode drama will be starting on NTV, from the 14th of January at 1:55AM(JST).

Touhou lotus destiny english edition was released in October 2011 and can be seen at CDS‘s booth during major events like AFA11, or the EOY.

This dojinshi is about the famous series Touhou, or rather a possible prequel to it. Following Byakuran Hijiri, the founder and head nun of the Myourenji.

Beginning the story is a flashback of how she acquired her magic powers and her journey towards enlightenment.

However a common theme found within the plot is greed and selfishness within a human as well a the yearning for family.

Storywise, it has proven to be a good read especially for one that don’t have in-depth or with no knowledge of the game it’s based on, like me.

But I think the story could be improved on further, because of the many lucky coincidences, like how the scroll land in Japan or how a storm flew a Yamato class warship into the past and etc. Perhaps this maybe be a premise of another book.

Art on the average, is good with many stunning scenes like the one above, but marred a little by the fact how non-characters like the neighbors, Yokai A or B, officers and even Hijiri’s brother Myoune, was drawn is unimpressive.

Not pretty… This is a bit of a nagging but it’s really nothing much.

Overall:  The art is good, the story is better and I see many chance for a sequel for this title. So do check it out the next time you saw this title at Collateral Damages Studio‘s Booth.

It’s local produce!

I wonder how many doujin circles are there in SG, but (besides the editor) this is a one man work!

Lotus Destiny is somewhere between Shonen and Seinen, however if I have 3 votes I’d pass 2 to Seinen.
For those who are new to Touhou, trying to grasp the ‘when and where’ is understandable, but I believe that the story covering this doujinshi does not require much knowledge about the timeline of Touhou. Why is that so? It is very much focused on the life of the protagonist, Byakuren.

I find the story enjoyable, not just it being different from other doujinshi which depicts Byakuren as something else. The proportions of the drawings are within my preference range, and humor is well-balanced and appropriately used alongside with the serious tone of the story. What’s new to me is the appearance of a Japanese WWII Imperial Navy battleship in Touhou fan-fiction. It was originally a large sail ship in both the official series and fandom, and the side-character on it was originally never from the future.

Good thing there is an English version of it.

3. Foiled! A story of an Abuse.

The 5 member Sentai hero girl idol group called Momoiro Clover z. This manga titled Momo Pro Z! is stated to be in the march Issue of the Monthly Shonen Rival magazine to be out on the 3rd of February.

Momo Pro Z! is a gag manga and in the story, the members of the idol group is depicted as masked hero taking part in the a pro-wrestling matches.

The March issue of Monthly Shonen Rival will also be featuring Momoiro Clover Z on the cover and includes a full colour poster, even thou the manga itself will not have a colour page.

Other Manga based on Idol groups are AKB0048, AKB49 and WaiWaiHey Say Jump!

Momoiro Clover Z is an idol group consisting of 5 mid to highschool girls that studies during the day and fight crimes sings at night. Their latest single, Rondo Sanka, ranked 7th on oricon weekly in the first week.

And just recently they announced that they will be contributing songs to the anime Moretsu Pirates.
