If you still remembered that the publishers made an ACE event out of the TAF boycott, their site is up! (In fact for quite awhile) http://animecontentsexpo.jp/
I will be heading to both events if eveything goes smoothly, will cover these 2 events when I am in Japan! (^_^)v
Most likely will bring my laptop over and do updates… hehe…
It has been 2 week since AFA X have ended. For some reason, time have been moving quite slowly since then, maybe it’s the because there is nothing as exciting to look forward to…
Yes, AFA X for me is even more exciting then my ORD date…
I have been covering Anime Festival Asia since it’s first press conference, when I am still in Polytechnic and every year since then, I have been eagerly looking forward to it.
Along the process I got to know a lot o f people, like the Festival Director, Mr. Shawn Chin, event Producer Aiko and the people from SOZO.
This year, I must say, they have really out did themselves, making it my busiest AFA thus far. I was literally running around all over the place and even managed to not get my signed posters(I got Aniki and Ken got JAM)…
Shane, our camera man also got his fill, and have compiled a video montage for us, how sweet of him~
With so many things going on at the same time, it kinda reminds me of TAF, where every exhibitor got their own stage and etc. Luckily for me, there is only 2 this year…
[singlepic id=282 w=560 h=560 float=center]
Main stage, where all the awesome stuffs happened, like the movies screening, Culture:Japan, Cosplay Championship, Dubbing and performances.
[singlepic id=393 w=560 h=560 float=center]
And the Event Stage, where unexpected stuff happened. Some I didn’t noticed until when I am looking at Ken’s pictures, like the Karaoke session by Scandal’s managers or angela’s appearances photo taking session or even Scandal as the Judge of the Ani-song Karaoke. Man, I missed so many good stuff… Still thou, I managed to catch Canon’s photography workshops, and a bit of the Ani-song Karaoke(Congrats Ume on getting 2nd!).
Either way, I’ll still miss a lot of things…
Come to think of it, I didn’t even get to do my shopping… =_=|| The only stuff I actually bought from AFA X was an EZ-Link Card, Lightsticks, a I Love Ani-Song Tee shirt, and Holographic Poster of Yuki(this is one is irresistible)..
This AFA, is also something very new to me. Ken and I met up with the guys and gal from May’n Fanclub Japan, one of them even helped us with the May’n group Interview session. While we didn’t managed to get them some gifts(I’m sorry! I’ll be sure to bring some Omiyage when I travel to Japan next year!), they gave us some very memorable presents, like the PHONIC NATION towel above and some Posters and post cards for May’n's new movie and her next Budokan Live.
Other then friends from Japans, we have also met with some of the friends who came from Malaysia, Indonesia and even Thailand. You know who you are.
And so let me give thanks to all who have been supporting us and those that we have troubled during the course of the whole Anime Festival Asia X. I would like to thanks the people from
SOZO, people like, Shawn, Aiko-san, Jim, Lyana, Robin, SW, Swen, and that guy whose name I cannot remember(lol). Thanks for organizing such a great event!
The MMK and AR gals and guys, you people are great!
The ladies from PRWerkz, thanks for arranging everything, from the interview to the invites.
Genesis Frontier, thanks for interview with the ladies from Milky Holmes and everything
日本のMAY’Nファンクラブ部員達、ほんとにありがと。タオルとポスター大好きです!
and Everyone we have met before, during and after AFA X, we had a lot of fun working/talking/playing with you.
Lastly but not the least, avalonexa, hey thanks for coming to Singapore, hope you liked the food!
If you still have not seen our AFA X coverage, look below for the pictures and related post. Also, this is not the end of our AFA X related items… regrettably… all the writers are now quite busy and refuse to write a half past six article for the interviews, so bare with us for a little bit. They will be out soon!

I would like to make a correction. In a previous update titled AFA X: RCC2010, cosplay, Media Update(22nd Oct), I made a mistake by assuming that one of the picture featuring a group cosplay comprise of both the Singapore representatives, Zelph and Kaika from Team Defense Devil.
The picture in question below,
It is in fact the picture of Zeph and Skype(another cosplayer). I am sorry for causing this mistake and for any inconvenience and awkwardness caused.
So who is Kaika?
This is Kaika
The picture about is a collage of Kaika’s cosplay and it’s wonderful, don’t you think? She will be representing Singapore, as Team Defense Devil together with Zeph for the Regional Cosplay Competition, presented by Canon.
She even have her own blog, the cosplay chronicle, for updates related to the local and regional Cosplay scene.
To Kaika, I hope you can forgive my mistake and I wish you all the best for the competition!
SGCafe, a Singapore forum and now news portal is looking for a new mascot to replace the their rather scary looking meido… Aw, she just started work even… Thou her shadow is not engaged for the job… temporary.
Now you can head over to the request page and take look and provide some submissions. You will after all win a prize.

During our drives to various parts of Singapore… We often have very interesting talks on various topics and some are quite interesting.
The drivecast this time came out with topics ranging from a short to point review of Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru, Key, and a fashion guide to swiss hotel?
There are things that can be quite stranger to most, and that is normal. Still try it out and have fun listening!
Fyi, the recording begun a bit before the drivecast… And so they are comparing Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru to twilight because in both a vampire is related…
