This year’s Kohaku will have a more anime feel to it with Yoko Kanno, star anime song composer announced today to be the one commissioned by the NHK to write the opening song for the NHK’s year end event, NHK 62nd Kohaku Uta Gassen.
The song titled ”1231″, is meant to express the youthfulness of the rhythms.

Akiyuki Shinbo’s Puella Magi Madoka Magica is nominated awarded the 2011 animation of the year for the 2011 Media Art Festival Award. This is decided today on the 15th of December.
The award ceremony will be held on the 21st of February 2012.

Other than a new Ultraman manga, in the monthly HEROS, for the 45th anniversary of the Ultraman series, It’s announced today that a new movie is decide, to open on the 24th of March in 2012, titled, ウルトラマンサーガ (Ultraman Saga).

Ultraman is making a return, but this time, there will a big twist… The gigantic hero of my childhood will be continuing it’s almost 40 years run on manga, with the release of Ultraman on Hero’s magazine, starting with the Dec issue, drawn by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi.
