As you can see the title is “Figure Friday”, well i’m always doing this at my fan club, since i hope to at least post some figures on Friday. But lately I’ve been busy.

Well, you do see live2D clock apps on the iOS like the Mirai Clock 3, which was just released a month ago, or a Oreimo clock app which was in the App store for some time.

Then after hearing about this, surely I would have Google Android users actually complaining why apps like these have not been given some love to Android.

But after seeing this app, some might change this line of thinking. For there’s both an iOS and Android version of it.

“ましろ色シンフォニーあんどろいどあぷり“, is a wonderful live2D clock app by Digimerce, is like the other live2D clock apps out there. If you watched the slice of life, romance anime “ましろ色シンフォニー (Mashiro Iro Shinfoni)”  or “The color of lovers”, you would know who is Sena Airi.

Well she greets you “おはよう” upon opening the application, even when it’s at night.  What I thought is different from the many clock and alarm clock apps is, this actually talks to you.

There is an alarm and time telling function for this clock app.

Tap anywhere on her, she’ll talk with some and different phrases along with emotions, and tap the time for her to tell the time.

Dragging your finger around the screen would make her look where you are dragging the finger. You can also change the attire, which is a school gym class outfit and it must be bought.

Since this app came preloaded with the basic pack of emotions it’s useable, but if you are willing to pay, you can venture more, by buying the respective emotions too.
The background will change according to the time where if it’s in the morning in real life, the background of the clock app will be in the day. Same goes in the night. The location in the background never changed so far, for the 3 days that I’m using this application.

Other functions include the portal to the twitter and the webpage of the anime which will take you away from the app and brings you to your phone’s browser.

The good thing, it’s free to download off the Android Market, But here comes the de-motivational part. . . .

It’s only available on the Japanese Android Market which I think ( meaning you’ll have to get a Japanese Android Keitai ) and I am not to sure whether it could be downloaded in any countries. As when I accessed my phone to download this app with a R800i Android Market app, it says it could not be downloaded in my region which is Singapore. Got this app via an alternative method ( which I don’t really recommend ) as it’s going to be hard finding it.

Yesterday, Nick, our shadow contributor and I went down to take part in the Real Escape Game in Singapore Volume 1 at CHIJMEs.

The game consist of about 15 brain twisting super indirect hints and quizzes. We were join by 1 of the Winner of our Giveaway and 2 other SMU students. So in a way, our team is actually quite smart… … XD

But the reality is that, we didn’t make it out of the cathedral… Like the many who participated in Vol. 1, we were hindered by very last clue.

What is it? Well… We can’t tell~

What we can tell you though, is that we very much enjoyed our time held captive~ The MC is a bit over the top, but adds drama to the seemingly boring setting, coupled with the constant reminder of how much time we had, and that heart trotting bgm…

It’s a good game indeed! No wonder many of the sessions actually managed to get sold out.

Thus it’s also good to report that, a 2nd Volume has been decided!

It will be held at *SCAPE in May. If you didn’t take part in Volume 1, please miss volume 2. It’s really very interesting~ I had fun~

On the website of L’Arc En Ciel world tour, the location for the Singapore and Indonesia round of the Tour is decided along with a date.

“>28th April 2012 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and Lapanfan D Senayan OUTDOOR Field in Jakarta Indonesia on the 2nd of May 2012.

Ticketing information is to be announced.

It’s also a surprise for fan in Indonesia as there is previously no mention of such an item. With the addition of the 2 location, the tour now consist of 10 location with 3 in South East Asia, namely Bangkok, Jakarta and Singapore.

The location of the New York show has also been decided and it will be held at the Madison Square Garde, making them the first Japanese Band to Headline there.

Congratulations! Looks like this is going to be a very memorable 20th Anniversary~

SKE48 upped the ante next with an amazing performance with this. A SKE song with Jurina as centre. What more can I ask for? Sry, Jurina Oshi here. (-_-)b

Many favorites also were in the performance today. Zannen Shoujo, Gyakuten Oujisama, Ookami to pride, MARIA, the list goes on. However, who can not forget this one: Temodemo no namida. A surprise matching of Yukirin and Matsui Rena. What more to say? You can be sure it was one of the best renditions of the song.

However, I am a sucker for originals. Still think this is the best version ever. LOL, but to each his own. Peace y’all.

Some songs that were placed quite high last year fell, like Takamina’s Itoshisa no accel, while some were unexpected entries like Kimi to boku no kankei and Enjou Rosen.

Overall, today’s performance was incredible. To those who missed it, getting the dvd won’t be a regret. However my only gripe was last year they got the graduated members to come back and perform the older stage songs, however this year did not have that. Oh well, I understand they might not be able to make it cause of their schedules. HKT48 also made an appearance as well, performing 10nen zakura.

Many previews of things to come as well. Soredemo suki da yo, Sashi’s solo debut as well as First rabbit, the theme song for the upcoming documentary movie. These 2 songs would be some good stuff to look forward to.

Finally, the top 25 coming next. Can’t wait to find out will the top list be similar to last year’s? Would NMB48 make it inside? They have not been inside the rankings so far. Stay tuned to Day 1 to find out.

Although I owned the original Transformer, I am rather envious of the new Prime, with a slimmer profile (8.3mm, 586g alone and 19mm, 1.1kg with dock), beautifully machined aluminium body and a powerful 1.5ghz Nvidia QUAD core Tegra 3 processor… AH~

Everything just seems so much better on the prime~

Not to mention again… It will come with ICE CREAM SANDWICH~

From my experiences, a good point about ASUS is that during my 6 months of consumer/maker relationship with them, they push updates rather quickly to us.

Like how we users of the Transformer tablet are the first to get Android 3.2, and that is good.

Another good thing is that, ASUS’s tablet don’t use skinned overlays like the other brand, making it super responsive like how it’s suppose to be.

FYI, Transformer Gen 1 users will be getting ICS by February too. And that is also quick.

Touhou lotus destiny english edition was released in October 2011 and can be seen at CDS‘s booth during major events like AFA11, or the EOY.

This dojinshi is about the famous series Touhou, or rather a possible prequel to it. Following Byakuran Hijiri, the founder and head nun of the Myourenji.

Beginning the story is a flashback of how she acquired her magic powers and her journey towards enlightenment.

However a common theme found within the plot is greed and selfishness within a human as well a the yearning for family.

Storywise, it has proven to be a good read especially for one that don’t have in-depth or with no knowledge of the game it’s based on, like me.

But I think the story could be improved on further, because of the many lucky coincidences, like how the scroll land in Japan or how a storm flew a Yamato class warship into the past and etc. Perhaps this maybe be a premise of another book.

Art on the average, is good with many stunning scenes like the one above, but marred a little by the fact how non-characters like the neighbors, Yokai A or B, officers and even Hijiri’s brother Myoune, was drawn is unimpressive.

Not pretty… This is a bit of a nagging but it’s really nothing much.

Overall:  The art is good, the story is better and I see many chance for a sequel for this title. So do check it out the next time you saw this title at Collateral Damages Studio‘s Booth.

It’s local produce!

I wonder how many doujin circles are there in SG, but (besides the editor) this is a one man work!

Lotus Destiny is somewhere between Shonen and Seinen, however if I have 3 votes I’d pass 2 to Seinen.
For those who are new to Touhou, trying to grasp the ‘when and where’ is understandable, but I believe that the story covering this doujinshi does not require much knowledge about the timeline of Touhou. Why is that so? It is very much focused on the life of the protagonist, Byakuren.

I find the story enjoyable, not just it being different from other doujinshi which depicts Byakuren as something else. The proportions of the drawings are within my preference range, and humor is well-balanced and appropriately used alongside with the serious tone of the story. What’s new to me is the appearance of a Japanese WWII Imperial Navy battleship in Touhou fan-fiction. It was originally a large sail ship in both the official series and fandom, and the side-character on it was originally never from the future.

Good thing there is an English version of it.

We just exit the canon C300 event held at VIVO city GV and I must say i’m very impressed by it as well as Ani-Culture.net’s videographer makoto-sato.

More than that we actually to hear from Vincent Laforet, a professional Photographer, film director and a pioneer in dslr videography.

We were treated with a screening of his latest short film MOBIUS shot using the canon C300 as well as a trailer for a few of the other films also shot using the camera.

As well a chance to get some insights from the Vincent himself on photography and videography.

Overall it was really fun and meaningful event. Great job Canon! I even got to see a Canon 1DX, nice~

Funny how I see no odjections over the past 3 days, my dedication posts to Sashihara Rino.

Today is the last day of my little project, dedicating my 3rd, 4th and 5th day of 2012 to her.

But why 345? Because in Japanese, the 345 is pronounced “san si go”, much like her nickname, Sashiko, a nickname given to her by fans and also the theme for a very elaborate joke in 2010 by the managenent to Sashihara-chan.

But since then she have been getting popular, doing challenges and even her own variety show, Sashiko no kuse ni, a program to train her.

Suprisingly it lasted for 9 months when it’s supposes to be 2. And thru out it, she grew and during the last general election she rosed from 19th of 2010 to the 9th position in 2011.

Mentioned before, she will be the main character in a late night drama, Muse no Kagami, almost about her starting on the 14th of january.

Followed by her first photo book, out 19th January, where we will get to see more of her angelic smiles.

See for yourself and you will be touched by her too, the most attractive of idols, one that contantly amazes but at the same time familar with.

She is Sashihara Rino, the angel in my heart.

Even Akimoto Yasashi, the producer of AKB48, have her as Oshimen, saying how interesting she is.

Now she is a staple on the most popular noon show in Japan, Waratte Iitomo! (“It’s OK to laugh!”), with Tamori-san and many established artist. Maple story have also found her to be their Image character in Japan, it’s also her first solo CM.

In short her 2011 have been very good, as people start to recognize her, and the fact that she is with great company, she will only get better!

She’s just awesome! Isn’t she?
