I love that Anime, based on the manga by Takahashi Rumiko~ It’s the primary culprit that got me hooked on the Gender-blender genre…
The drama will be featuring Aragaki Yui, as Akane(Ranma’s Fiancée) and Kaku Kento and Natsuna as Ranma, guy and girl respectively.
Other roles are,
Hasegawa Kyoko as Akane’s older sister, ‘Tendo Kasumi’,
Namase Katsuhisa as Akane’s father, ‘Tendo Soun’.
Tanihara Shosuke as Akane’s first love ‘Ono Tofu’
Furuta Arata as Ranma’s father, ‘Saotome Genma’
Whether if a panda will be making any appearances along with the rest of Dorothy’s farm, that remains to be seen. XD
Personally I am very looking forward to seeing how the series can be done~ After all Japanese TV station have a very creative way of making the impossible possible~
Update: Temple-knight mentioned that the Drama will be premièring on NTV in December with a 2 hour special. As for the Panda Saotome… It might be done in CG. Hmm… We’ll see.
