Here’s some good news for Evangelion fans. According to sources, Evangelion 2.22 will have a local DVD release very soon (within the first half of July). While there are fans who have manged to source them in from Japan or Hong Kong for quite a while now, the difference is that not only does it come with English and Chinese subtitles, it also will be priced significantly lower than overseas sites like Amazon.co.jp or Play-Asia. Still no word on a local Blu-Ray release so let’s keep our fingers crossed…
Culture:Japan will be making it debut outside of Japan this July 25th. It’s an production by Danny Choo and will be featured as one of the specials by Animax Asia.
It will be featuring items like a visit to a Japanese high school, a look into the inner working of Good Smile Company’s office, special guest like Satomi Sato, Ritsu’s Seiyuu is K-On!! and more!
It is revealed in Animax’s July preview advertisement, that Culture:Japan will be show on the 25th of July, Sunday at 9pm Singapore time and 8Pm in Jakarta.
The Japan Edition of the show have already been aired on Tokyo MX channel on the 12th, this month. It is understood that the Asia edition will be 1 hour long compared to the it’s 30 minute Japanese counterpart and will be featuring more items.
Furthermore, will you be able to resist after looking at the set? This is the show for us and those who want to learn more, there is no two way about it.
In additional to the excellent content, Culture:Japan’s music will also be produced by Vividblaze, a of talent musician duo.

The official website for Black Lagoon has posted the PV for their upcoming OVA series titled: Roberta’s Blood Trail. Set to feature the series popular Terminator maid again. Also look out for many new characters as well. Take a look here. Click on OVA Movie Start to view the PV. Mazingkaiser SKL. Recently announced a few months back, is a brand new OVA series for the Mazinger series. Not much info about it can be found so far. However, the site for it has finally posted a PV to keep SR fans drooling till further news come up.
P.S. First ever mazinger to use a gun. Doesn’t look like it can use breast fire though.
It’s no secret that one of the most successful Japanese animation studio is making a game with Level 5, the people who brought us PS3′s White Knight Chronicle and DS’s Professor Layton.
Now the game’s name is Ni no Kuni, or The Other World. The game, subtitled Shikkoku no Madoushi, is first announced for the Nintendo DS 2 years ago and is on the way to becoming a major success story this winter. Recently, they announce another game, titled Ni no Kuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joou developed for the Playstation 3.
The PS3 game will not be a port of the DS version, an both game will be different from each another in terms of gameplay, graphics and focus, thus linking them together will only be storyline, even thou they are not going to be the same.
And from the premier trailer, it looks absolutely stunning! Just like in the upcoming animation.
Note: At the 40th second there is a comparison between animation and the PS3 ingame graphic.
From the looks of it, it will be much like the classic RPG, but the story and art will be from Ghibli which will really make a big difference.
The game will be released in Japan 2011, with other territories unknown. Hopefully it will not take a year, like the White Knight Chronicles…
A few days ago, I posted here that ANA is get a Gundam themed 747-300. But looks like the Koreans are getting something a bit cooler. TWO Starcraft II 747 jetliners.
Unveiled just yesterday at a Starcraft II media event in Korea, Korean Air announced that they will be flying 2 747s Jetliners painted with a Starcaft II decal. Korean have almost made Starcraft their national hobby and now it will be flying their skies. Looks like they really loves their Starcraft!
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty is due out this 27th July around the world, and you can get your copy at Playasia.com or the South East Asian version at SG$109 for the enhanced server support.
